Nghe An announces list of 110 students to be commended and rewarded
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 22, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee has just decided to announce the list of 110 students to be honored at the Ceremony to honor students who won prizes in international and national competitions and achieved high scores in the 2018 National High School Exam.
In this year's list, there is a student who won an international award, that is Phan Nhat Duat - Bronze Medal of the 2018 International Chemistry Olympiad.
There were 66 students who won prizes at the National Excellent Student Competition, including 4 students who won first prizes, 22 students who won second prizes and 38 students who won third prizes. In addition, there were 8 students who won prizes at the National Science and Technology Competition, including 2 first prizes and 2 third prizes.

In the National High School Exam, Nghe An has 35 students awarded this year. These are the students with the highest scores in groups A, B, C, D, A1 and the candidates are ethnic minorities. This year, according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, each group will have only 5 candidates awarded. However, in group C, there are 5 candidates with the same score, so the number is increased to 9 students. The total number of candidates awarded this year is less than previous years.
Regarding rewards, the Provincial People's Committee also decided to spend nearly 1.9 billion VND to reward students and teachers with training achievements in the last school year.
