The Department of Education and Training also advocates issuing only one sample test. At the same time, schools are required to continue to direct and organize professional groups/teams, teachers, and students to access and analyze sample tests in terms of structure, knowledge content, and differentiation levels, ensuring that all staff, teachers, and students have the clearest access to the volume of test content. This will help teachers and students make appropriate adjustments in the teaching and learning process, review, and especially practice skills in taking combined tests in the form of objective multiple-choice tests.
In addition, the Department also requires schools to review and supplement their review plans, focusing on determining the content, duration, and form of review, and instructing students to self-review.
Regarding review content, it is necessary to pay attention to identifying the topics that need to be reviewed for each subject, clearly identifying the knowledge and skill standards that need to be achieved; types/formats of questions and exercises; a system of questions/exercises at different levels to help students review and practice skills. There is a plan to classify students to ensure appropriate review.
In addition, schools need to develop ways for students to get familiar with different types of questions to practice their test-taking skills and help them have better direction in their review.
