(Baonghean.vn) - Up to this point, more than 50% of high schools in Nghe An province have announced the benchmark scores for grade 10 for the 2017-2018 school year. Compared to previous years, this year's benchmark scores have changed a lot and are 2-3 points higher than last year.

According to the Department of Education and Training, all schools that are approved according to NV1 have announced their benchmark scores. The highest is Huynh Thuc Khang High School with 38.25 points (nearly 1 point higher than the 2016-2017 school year).

The remaining schools' entrance exam scores are also quite high, 2-3 points higher than previous years and tend to increase in schools not located in central areas.

In Dien Chau district, if Nguyen Xuan On High School's benchmark score remains at 29 points as every year, Dien Chau 4 and Dien Chau 5 High Schools both increased by 2 - 2.5 points with the entrance score being 24 and 24.5.

In Yen Thanh district, the entrance score of Phan Dang Luu High School is 20.5 points (1.5 points higher). Meanwhile, Bac Yen Thanh High School takes 25 points. In Quynh Luu district, while Quynh Luu 1 High School takes 26.5 points (0.5 points lower than last year), Quynh Luu 3 High School and Quynh Luu 4 High School have an admission score increase of 3.5 - 4 points compared to previous years with scores of 21.8 and 23.5 points respectively.

As for Hoang Mai High School, the school of the national top student in block B, the benchmark score "jumped" up by 26 points.

In Do Luong district, the highest score is Do Luong 3 High School with 31.9 points (4 points higher than in 2016). Next is Do Luong 1 High School with 27.9 points, Do Luong 2 High School with 17.8 points, Do Luong 4 High School with 25.7 points.

The reason why the admission score to Do Luong 1 High School is lower than every year and lower than in the region is because this year, a large number of students took the entrance exam to Do Luong 1 High School to enroll in Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

The remaining districts also have quite high benchmark scores and there is progress in schools in the midland and mountainous areas. For example, Tay Hieu High School, last year it took 8.75 points, this year it took 13.6 points. Quy Hop 2 High School is 10.3 points, Dong Hieu High School is 16.6 points, 1/5 High School is 16.7 points. In addition, Le Hong Phong High School takes 27 points, Pham Hong Thai High School takes 23.8 points, Nam Dan High School takes 27.75 points, Kim Lien High School takes 19.75 points...

According to the Department of Examinations and Quality Control - Department of Education and Training, this is the initial score. After the application deadline, schools will continue to lower the admission score if the admission application is not enough to meet the quota.

Currently, there are 3 schools that have lowered their scores: Dien Chau 2 High School, Dien Chau 5 High School and Le Loi High School. However, the score reduction is not significant because the school is only short of a few students.

From July 13, the Department of Education and Training will continue to review the entrance scores for the remaining schools that have registered for NV2 and NV3 admission. This year, the admission scores for schools are difficult to predict because the number of students admitted to specialized schools, especially high-quality classes, is quite large./.
