Nghe An: Successfully rescued fishing boat of fishermen that died at sea
(Baonghean.vn)- Nghe An Border Guards have just successfully rescued a fishing boat that had stalled and was drifting at sea.
At 1:00 a.m. on September 23, Ben Thuy Coastal Information Station received information at coordinates 18052'N; 106021'E, about 23 nautical miles east of Mat Island, that fishing boat NA 95089 TS, captained by Mr. Dau Ngoc Dong, born in 1977, residing in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district (there were 7 people on board) was fishing when the gearbox broke down.
Although the captain and crew on board tried to repair the ship for many hours, they still could not fix it. The captain asked the authorities for rescue.

After receiving the news, the Nghe An Border Guard Command reported the situation to the Provincial Office of Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and the Border Guard Staff; At the same time, directed the coastal units to notify the vehicles operating at sea of the location of the fishing boat with a broken gearbox drifting at sea to come and assist and rescue.

At 3:40 p.m. on September 23, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province mobilized the rescue ship BP 06.19.01 of Squadron 2, consisting of 15 officers and soldiers, to carry out the rescue mission, towing the ship NA 95089 TS safely to shore.
