(Baonghean.vn) - A woman who ate poison ivy to commit suicide was promptly saved by the military medical staff of Tri Le Border Post (Nghe An Province Border Guard) in coordination with local medical staff.

On the afternoon of January 21, Ms. Tho Y X., born in 1993, residing in Huoi Moi village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, due to family conflicts, ate poison ivy and committed suicide. Ms. X. was taken to Tri Le commune health station by her family in a state of severe poisoning, her whole body was purple, she had difficulty breathing, her pulse was weak, and her life was in danger.

Doctors and nurses from Tri Le Border Guard Station and the Commune Health Station urgently treated the victim. After 3 hours of intensive emergency care and resuscitation, by the afternoon of the same day, the patient was no longer cyanotic, had less difficulty breathing, and could talk. Currently, the patient's health is recovering and progressing well.

It is known that since the beginning of the year, the unit's medical staff has coordinated to save the lives of 5 other victims who committed suicide by eating poison ivy using folk remedies./.
