Nghe An hosts the "Meeting Japan" conferences in 2019
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial People's Committee will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam to organize the Conference "Meeting Japan - North Central Region 2019" and the Conference "Meeting Nghe An - Japan: Cooperation and Development" on April 25 and 26.
The above information was provided at a press conference held by the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the morning of April 16. Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-chaired the press conference.

Press release presented by the Director of Nghe An Department of Foreign Affairs said that the Conference "Meeting Japan - North Central Region 2019"will take place on April 25 with about 500 delegates attending.
The conference is part of a series of "Meet Japan" events organized annually by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on a regional scale to connect Japanese partners in many fields with localities in Vietnam.

The conference focused on discussing issues of cooperation in regional development in the North Central region, focusing on areas such as FDI attraction, human resource cooperation, high-tech agriculture, supporting industries, tourism, education and training, and labor.
On the sidelines of the Conference, there will be meetings between leaders of localities in the North Central Region with the Japanese Ambassador and representatives of Japanese international agencies and organizations (G2G), between local leaders and Japanese enterprises (G2B) and between enterprises of the two countries (B2B).

After that, the Conference “Nghe An - Japan Meeting: Cooperation and Development” will take place on April 26 with the participation of about 460 delegates.
This conference will focus on the following issues: Exchange, in-depth discussion and orientation to attract FDI, ODA, NGO investment; promote cooperation in production, business, trade, tourism, education and training and labor.
On the other hand, this is an opportunity for meetings and exchanges between the government and the government, the government and businesses, businesses and businesses of Nghe An province and other provinces of Japan to promote potential and strengths; provide information, enhance understanding and trust; and orient the cooperation contents between the two sides in the coming time in the spirit of cooperation and development.

The Conference series aims to create a turning point in the multifaceted cooperation between the provinces of the North Central region in general, Nghe An province in particular, and Japan, promoting regional linkages in development in general, economic cooperation with Japan in particular to improve efficiency, create new momentum to attract direct investment from Japan, promote human resource cooperation and connect localities with other parties.
The conferences will also contribute to promoting the role of the North Central region's center, enhancing the position of Nghe An province before Japanese partners; promoting the image, potential and advantages of Nghe An province and provinces in the North Central region to contribute to socio-economic development.
"Therefore, I hope that news agencies and newspapers will support Nghe An province in promoting the meaning and value of the upcoming conferences," he suggested.
According to information provided by the Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, the Conferences are expected to be attended by leaders of the Vietnamese Government, the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, representatives of Japanese international organizations such as JICA, the Japanese business community, and Japanese localities with connections to Nghe An such as Gifu.

Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs said that in the past 3-4 years, Japan has strengthened deeper connections with localities of Vietnam, demonstrated by the fact that the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam is one of the active focal points for bilateral connections.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also highly appreciated Nghe An's careful and thorough preparation to host these remarkable events.
“The determination, efforts and persuasiveness of the leaders of Nghe An province are the sure guarantee for the success of the Conferences. At the same time, the enthusiastic and active participation of the press agencies is also the driving force to encourage the locality to develop day by day,” Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long expressed his confidence.
