Nghe An is evaluating early retirement benefits for 60 people with a total cost of more than 75 billion VND.
The above information was announced by the leader of Nghe An Department of Finance at a press conference on the socio-economic, defense and security situation in the first quarter of 2025 organized by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on the afternoon of April 9.

At the press conference, delegates heard information about the province's socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2025.
Accordingly, the growth rate of the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 8%; ranking 27th in the country, 2nd in the North Central region; of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 5.02%; the industry and construction sector increased by 11% (industry alone increased by 11.07%); the service sector increased by 7.02%; product tax minus product subsidies increased by 7.02%...
State budget revenue reached 6,311 billion VND, reaching 35.6% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, equal to 99.9% of the same period.

Regarding public investment disbursement, the total plan for 2025 assigned by the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Council to Nghe An province is more than 10,000 billion VND. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the disbursement rate reached 14.85%, higher than the average disbursement rate nationwide (the whole country reached 9.53%).
Accumulated in 2025 (as of March 31, 2025), the province has approved investment policies/issued investment registration certificates for 10 projects/total investment of VND 2,223.5 billion, adjusted 38 projects, of which capital was adjusted for 10 projects/total investment increased by VND 4,496.1 billion. The total newly granted and increased investment capital is VND 6,719.6 billion (equal to 45.4% of the same period last year).

Of which, foreign direct investment (FDI) was newly granted to 3 projects with a total registered investment capital of 55 million USD, and capital adjustment for 4 projects/total investment increased by 56.9 million USD. The total newly granted and adjusted capital was 111.9 million USD.
In particular, in the first quarter, the procedures were completed and the investment policy decision for VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park project was awarded, with a registered investment capital of 52.5 million USD.
Nghe An has set out 8 key tasks and solutions to achieve socio-economic development goals in the first quarter of 2025.
At the press conference, VOV Online Newspaper and Dan Tri Newspaper requested to inform about the number of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who have retired before retirement age up to the present time according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government on policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces in implementing the organizational arrangement of the political system and Decree 67/2025/ND-CP dated March 15, 2025 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government on policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces in implementing the organizational arrangement of the political system.

Responding to this content, Mr. Nguyen Hong Tuan - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Finance said: Up to now, the Department has received a document from the Department of Home Affairs requesting appraisal of the first funding for 60 people with a total budget of more than 75 billion VND; of which the Party and mass organizations have 34 people with a total budget of more than 50 billion VND; the State sector has 26 people with a total budget of about 24 billion VND.
The leader of Nghe An Department of Finance said that the Department of Finance is appraising and consulting and there are no problems with funding.
At the press conference, leaders of relevant departments and branches answered questions from journalists about a number of contents in the fields of: Education, Health, implementation of socio-economic development targets in the context of reorganizing commune-level administrative units, not organizing district-level units.
