Nghe An won 14 prizes at the National Mathematics Olympiad for Students and Pupils
(Baonghean.vn) - At this exam, Vinh University won 9 prizes for students and 5 prizes for pupils in both Algebra and Analysis.

On the morning of April 15, the Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony for the 2017 National Mathematics Olympiad for Students took place at Phu Yen University.
The exam was attended by 600 students from 78 universities, colleges, academies and more than 60 students from 12 specialized high schools nationwide. The candidates took the exam in two subjects: Algebra and Analysis.
The National Student Mathematics Olympiad is not only a playground for students nationwide to satisfy their passion and knowledge of Mathematics, but also a place for lecturers from domestic academies, universities and colleges to meet and exchange experiences.

After nearly a week of competition, the Organizing Committee decided to award more than 30 First prizes, 60 Second prizes, 60 Third prizes for each subject of Analysis and Algebra; 5 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 12 bronze medals.
In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded special prizes to 11 students who won 2 first prizes in Algebra and Analysis, 10 students won the Le Van Thiem prize, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology won the first prize for the whole group.
Vinh University won 9 prizes for students including 1 First prize, 3 Second prizes, 4 Third prizes, 1 Encouragement prize and 5 prizes for pupils including 1 Gold medal, 3 Silver medals, 1 Bronze medal.
