Nghe An: List of 12 establishments that violated food safety and hygiene were punished

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just concluded the inspection of compliance with regulations on ensuring food safety during the 2018 Lunar New Year and Spring Festival in Nghe An province.

Accordingly, on this occasion, the interdisciplinary inspection team inspected 45 establishments, including 19 food processing establishments; 11 food trading establishments; 15 food service establishments. The team discovered 12/45 establishments with acts of not ensuring food safety, and signed decisions to impose administrative penalties with a total amount of 75 million VND.

Violations detected at these establishments include: no certificate of food safety eligibility; no sample storage cabinets or no organization to store food samples; no measures to prevent insects and harmful animals; production and business conditions that do not ensure food safety; food processing and packaging that do not ensure food hygiene and safety; failure to comply with food preservation regulations as announced by the manufacturer; failure to equip or use labor protection equipment in production practices; lack of periodic health check-ups and food safety knowledge certificates for the establishment owner and direct employees.

List of 12 establishments that violated food safety and were punished:

1-Muong Thanh Hoang Mai Supermarket (Hoang Mai Town), did not comply with food preservation regulations as announced by the manufacturer;

2-Thien Lam ham processing facility (block 19, Dong Vinh, Vinh city), did not ensure food safety during the production process; did not wear protective gear;

3- EB Vinh Company Limited (Big C Supermarket, Quang Trung, Vinh City), did not comply with the regulations on food preservation as announced;

4-Nguyen Thi Quang business household (Pham Hong Thai street, Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city) does not have measures to prevent harmful insects and animals;

5-Trung Hau Company Limited (Tran Dang Ninh Street, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City), does not have a certificate of food safety eligibility;

6- Truong Sy Thoai food business (Hamlet 6, Dien Ky, Dien Chau), used unsafe preservation means;

7- Tuan Luyen ham and sausage facility (Block 2, Con Cuong town), lacks food safety knowledge confirmation, does not wear protective gear;

8- Chau Lien Restaurant (Block 4, Con Cuong town), does not organize food sample storage, does not have measures to prevent insects and harmful animals;

9-Business household Tran Van Duc (Long Chau urban area, Vinh Tan, Vinh city), food processing does not ensure hygiene and safety;

10- Trung Xuan Restaurant (Tan Thanh Block, Hoa Hieu Ward, Thai Hoa Town), did not store food samples and health certificates past the prescribed expiration date;

11-Nguyen Van Tu fresh tea bud processing facility (Hamlet 11, Thanh Huong, Thanh Chuong), production area does not ensure food safety;

12-Hoa Huong Son Restaurant (Quan Bau Ward Commercial Center, Vinh City), food storage warehouse does not ensure food hygiene and safety.
