Nghe An places 1,600 pesticide collection bins in rice fields
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to collect pesticide packaging for safe disposal, up to now, in Nghe An province, there have been about 1,600 boxes placed in the fields of 10 districts.

With investment funds from the province, localities and other support projects, up to now, the Department of Crop Production - Plant Protection, the Department of Science and Technology and a number of communes have placed about 1,600 bins to collect plant protection waste in many fields in 10 districts: Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Do Luong, Yen Thanh, Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Hoang Mai Town, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong and Hung Nguyen.

Accordingly, plant protection waste is annually collected and transported to a safe treatment location by the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection.
It is known that in 2015, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection collected more than 2 tons of plant protection waste. In 2016, the Department plans to collect and treat 2.5 tons of plant protection waste in 9 localities, of which the most is Quynh Luu district with 500 kg and Dien Chau district with 300 kg.
