Nghe An won third prize in the National Youth and Children's Creativity Contest
(Baonghean.vn) - The 14th National Creativity Contest for Youth and Children has 725 topics from 55 provinces and cities selected to participate.
On the evening of October 23, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship and Labor Culture Palace (Hanoi), the closing and awarding ceremony of the 14th National Creativity Contest for Youth and Children in 2018 was held.
Among the winning topics this time, Nghe An province has only one third prize for the topic "Solar energy generator" by the group of authors Nguyen Trong Khanh Huy and Phan Khoi Nguyen, students of class 9B, Hong Son Secondary School, Vinh city.

The solar generator model device operates on the principle of automatically controlling the parabolic trough rotating motor using a sensor system; concentrating the amount of sunlight on the Peltier chip to convert heat energy into electricity for use. The machine is compactly designed, easy to use, low cost, and especially convenient for areas with difficult economic conditions.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 106 outstanding topics including: 1 Special Prize, 5 First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, 30 Third Prizes and 60 Encouragement Prizes.
