Nghe An won second prize in the national "2018 Excellent Grassroots Health Competition"
(Baonghean.vn) - The final round of the national "Excellent Grassroots Health Care 2018" contest organized by the Ministry of Health in Hanoi on October 30. The Nghe An province excellent grassroots health care team won second prize.

Participating in the National Finals of the "Excellent Grassroots Health 2018" Competition are 6 teams: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Can Tho and Bac Lieu. These are the excellent teams that passed the three rounds of competition in the Northern Midlands, North Central and Mekong Delta regions.

Nghe An team has members who are medical staff of Quy Chau district (At the provincial level competition, the excellent grassroots medical team of Quy Chau district won first prize and was chosen by Nghe An health sector to represent in the regional and national competition). Before reaching the national final, Nghe An team won first prize in the North Central region.
At the Final of the “2018 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition”, the teams took turns going through 3 rounds including greeting, knowledge and talent. With vivid and unique performances from each region, the aim was to convey messages about primary health care at the primary health care level.

The talent competition with the skit “Only a hair’s breadth left” by the Nghe An team was highly appreciated by the judges. The skit is a real story about backward customs such as male preference and female discrimination; inviting shamans to perform rituals when sick that are currently existing in remote areas.

In the end, the Nghe An grassroots medical team won second prize and the sketch “Only a hair’s breadth left” was voted the best sketch. The Ha Tinh grassroots medical team won first prize and two third prizes went to the teams of Phu Tho province and Can Tho city./.
