Nghe An: Speeding up the search and collection of remains of martyrs who died in Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - In the 2020 - 2021 dry season, the Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province determined to strive to search for, collect, and move back to the country all the graves of martyrs that have been surveyed and have information in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane, and Xay Xom Bun of Laos.

On the afternoon of July 3, the Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province held a conference to summarize the work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2019 - 2020. The conference was attended by Major General Phan Van Sy - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs, Deputy Head of Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4; representatives of departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province. Colonel Pham Van Dong, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 chaired the conference.
During the 2019-2020 dry season, the search and collection of martyrs' remains in Laos and Nghe An province encountered many difficulties, especially due to the impact and influence of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the Provincial Steering Committee 515 directed the Provincial Military Command to promptly take measures to lead and direct closely; encouraged the Collection Team to uphold the sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, do a good job in mass mobilization and military diplomacy, and gain the consensus, support and wholehearted help of the Lao Party Committee, government, armed forces and people.

With great efforts, in the 2019-2020 dry season, the Collection Team, Nghe An Provincial Military Command, surveyed, searched, and recovered 57 remains of martyrs in Laos and brought them back to the country, and 1 remains of a martyr in the country... During the collection process, the Collection Team always strictly followed civil discipline, military discipline, ensuring safety of people, technical equipment and traffic safety.

Accordingly, in the 2020-2021 dry season, the Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province determined to focus on accelerating the progress of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in Laos, striving to search, collect, and move back to the country all martyrs' graves that have been surveyed and have information in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane and Xay Xom Bun provided by Lao units, veterans and people; directing the search and collection of martyrs' graves in Nghe An province; for graves with sufficient accurate information, a plan will be developed, the collection will be organized and handed over to the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to organize burial ceremonies according to regulations.
