At this conference, Nghe An was one of the localities commended for its Covid-19 vaccination program. As of November 4th, Nghe An ranked 4th among the top 10 localities with the highest vaccination rate, at 106.06% (calculated based on the number of doses/amount of vaccine allocated according to the decision; the actual number of doses may be more than the allocated vaccine doses).
Specifically: As of November 4th, Nghe An province had administered 1,209,845 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. Of these, 138,348 people received two doses, and 1,071,497 people received at least one dose. On November 4th, Nghe An conducted its 25th vaccination campaign with the Abdala vaccine from Cuba, with a total of 79,178 doses. It is expected that approximately 150,000 more people will receive their first dose of the Abdala vaccine on November 5th.
From October 28th to November 4th, Nghe An province received 435,600 doses of Abdala vaccine (batch 25); 116,760 doses of Pfizer vaccine; and 772,360 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. Immediately after receiving the allocation decision from the Ministry of Health, Nghe An distributed these vaccines to districts, cities, and towns. After completing batch 25, districts, cities, and towns will immediately proceed with batch 26 vaccinations using both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.
However, by late afternoon on November 5th, on the National Covid-19 Vaccination Portal, Nghe An had dropped to the top 10 localities with the lowest vaccination rate, at 71.67%. This was because the portal updated the vaccine data immediately after the Ministry of Health's allocation decision. Meanwhile, by late evening on November 5th, the newly allocated 772,360 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine had just arrived in Nghe An.
