Nghe An takes the lead in tourism cooperation with 4 provinces in the North Central region
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the content stated at the Conference summarizing cooperation of 4 provinces in the North Central region in 2018 and orienting key tasks in 2019, which took place this morning (February 20), in Thanh Hoa City, organized by the Tourism Development Coordination Board of 4 provinces (Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa and Quang Binh).
Attending the Conference were representatives from the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture & Sports, Tourism Promotion Center, Tourism Promotion Center, Tourism Association and businesses of 4 localities.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of Nghe An Department of Tourism, representatives of leaders of departments, offices, Tourism Promotion Information Center, Tourism Association, members of the Coordination Board and businesses participating.

In 2018, tourism promotion was coordinated by 4 provinces; successfully organized a program to introduce Nghe An tourism in the Northeast of Thailand; signed cooperation agreements and welcomed famtrip groups from the North, Central and South regions, and Northeast Thailand.
However, besides the achieved results, there are still many limitations such as: The quality of services is still low, tourism products are not unique so competitiveness is limited; the survey program only stops at connection, has not created differences and characteristics; has not built a common characteristic brand of the region; tourism businesses of the 4 localities have not really linked closely to expand the market...
At this conference, Nghe An was evaluated as the leading province in tourism cooperation because in the past year, the province has been completely proactive in the roadshow program introducing 4 provinces in Thailand, chairing the organization of booths and sideline activities at the VITM Fair 2018. In addition, Nghe An also proactively initiated the printing of a common map of the 4 provinces and especially chaired the invitation of domestic and foreign famtrip delegations such as the famtrip to Northeast Thailand, which brought high efficiency.

The main cooperation contents in 2019 were discussed enthusiastically and frankly by the 4 provinces at the Conference, including: cooperation in propaganda and promotion; participation in the Fair, welcoming famtrip delegations; choosing which cooperation contents in 2019 to bring about efficiency and promote the strengths of the localities.

Within the framework of the conference, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Tourism Associations of 4 localities and the handover of the 2019 Coordination Committee Head to Ha Tinh province.
