Nghe An: Many prisoners have their prison sentences reduced during Tet
(Baonghean.vn) - Of the 30 prisoners whose prison sentences were reduced this time, 11 prisoners had their entire prison sentences reduced, while the rest had their sentences reduced by 1 to 7 months.
On the morning of February 12, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the decision to reduce prison sentences for inmates on the occasion of the 2018 Lunar New Year.

The Council decided to reduce the prison sentence of the 30 prisoners who had served enough time as required by law, had made much progress, did not violate the prison's regulations and rules, and were classified as having good or fair rehabilitation. The Council's records for sentence reduction were closely reviewed, following the correct procedures as required by law.
At the decision announcement ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Police Detention Center advised the prisoners whose sentences were reduced early to work honestly, become useful people to society, and comply with the law when they return to their hometowns and families.
At the same time, we hope that prisoners whose sentences have not been reduced in this period will continue to reform well to soon enjoy the leniency policy of the Party and State in the next sentence reduction review.
