Nghe An welcomes and rewards students who won Bronze Medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 18, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to welcome Hoang Tien Nguyen - Bronze Medalist of the 2022 International Mathematics Olympiad.
Also attending were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training.

The 2022 International Mathematical Olympiad was held in Norway and all 6/6 Vietnamese students participating won prizes.
With this achievement, the TeamInternational Mathematical OlympiadVietnam ranked 4th out of 104 participating countries and territories, after China, South Korea, and the US. The achievement was more outstanding than in 2021. Student Hoang Tien Nguyen of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (Nghe An) excellently won the Bronze Medal.

At the meeting, teacher Phan Van Thai - a fellow teacher who had just returned from Norway with the student, shared about student Hoang Tien Nguyen's journey to winning the Bronze Medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad.
To come to this competition, Hoang Tien Nguyen excelled when he won first prize in the National Excellent Student Competition for two consecutive years and passed the qualifying round to become an official member of the Vietnam Team.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh congratulated the achievements of student Hoang Tien Nguyen and the overall achievements of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. This result once again affirmed the quality of education and training of the school and contributed to bringing the position and prestige to the education sector of the province.

To achieve this result, the Director of the Department of Education and Training also expressed his gratitude to the teachers in the Math group who have worked hard to cultivate with a burning desire to achieve high results in regional and international Olympic competitions; the care and attention of the school's Board of Directors and especially the support of Hoang Tien Nguyen's parents and family throughout his time studying and reviewing for the exam.
From the achievements, the Director of the Department also hopes that student Hoang Tien Nguyen will continue to nurture his aspirations and ambitions to contribute to his homeland and country.

This is also an outstanding achievement of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted this school year.
