(Baonghean.vn) - In the 2022 winter crop, Nghe An plans to plant 35,430 hectares of various crops in the direction of increasing value and intensive farming.

On the afternoon of August 9, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to deploy the 2022 winter crop production and cultivation project. Comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Vo Thi Nhung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development co-chaired the conference.

Winter crop 2022, with the mottosafe production, promote all resources, produce in the direction of goods, have high economic efficiency, increase production value, the whole province strives to plant 35,430 hectares of various crops; in which, expand the area of ​​crops that bring high economic value.

To achieve that goal, the Production Project developed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has clearly identified 7 advantages, 7 difficulties, set targets and 6 implementation solutions. In the guiding ideology, localities also identified this as a particularly important production season,increase incomefor farmers and contribute to economic development and social security stability in the area.

Speaking at the conference, after listening to the discussion and proposals of localities and enterprises, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu directed each district and commune to have timely, drastic and synchronous solutions; to develop a project soon to have time to prepare. The project must have fundamental solutions, not done at all costs but must be done by all means to achieve the set plan.

Based on specific local conditions and market demand, it is necessary to proactively arrange the season and area with appropriate crop structure to achieve maximum winter crop production area while ensuring safety and economic efficiency.

In particular, this is a production season that is often affected by floods, so it is necessary to do a good job of irrigation, drainage, weather forecasting, hydrometeorology; and have proactive drainage plans to prevent local flooding for winter crops.
