Nghe An: Releasing a python into the forest and encountering a 'giant' cobra

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 6, the Forest Protection Department of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve (Nghe An) released a python into the forest. During that process, the working group encountered a 'giant' fat cobra.

Previously, around November 2016, Mobile Ranger Team No. 3 (Quynh Luu) captured a Python Molurs weighing 10 kg. After completing legal procedures, the unit handed it over to the Forest Protection Department of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve to release it back into the wild.

Accordingly, the Forest Ranger Department of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve chose sub-area 59, plot 16 as the location for the primary forest to release the python into the natural forest. Immediately after being released for about 30 seconds, the python crawled safely into the forest.

During the process of releasing the python, the working group also encountered a 3kg fat cobra shedding its skin on the side of the road. The team members used tools to chase the snake into the deep forest, avoiding human capture.
