Nghe An tops the list of stopping sending workers to Korea
Nghe An has 9 districts and cities out of a total of 40 districts and cities nationwide that have temporarily stopped sending workers to South Korea.

The 40 districts, towns, and cities nationwide that are being considered to temporarily suspend sending workers to South Korea are localities with a high number of illegal residents in this country, from 60 people or more.
After reaching an agreement with the Korean side on temporarily suspending some localities with a high rate of illegal workers staying in Korea, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Official Dispatch No. 1684/LĐTBXH-QLLĐNN notifying provinces and cities of the list of localities that have temporarily suspended the selection of workers to work in Korea under the EPS Program in 2019.
In 2019, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has listed 100 districts/counties that are subject to consideration of temporarily suspending labor recruitment. These are localities with a rate of workers whose contracts have expired and who do not return home of 30% or more. From this list, the Korean side has agreed to suspend labor recruitment in 40 districts/counties.
Based on the announcement from the Korean side on the rate and number of illegal workers in Korea at the end of 2019, in 2020, the recruitment of workers will continue to be suspended in localities that cannot reduce the rate and number of illegal workers. At the same time, the suspension will be lifted for localities that reduce the rate and number of illegal workers in Korea.
