Nghe An ranked 2nd nationwide in the number of awards for the contest to learn about 90 years of tradition in the Propaganda sector.

On the evening of July 26, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department, the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper in coordination with Vietnam Television organized the art program "Keeping the faith" and summarized the contest "Learning about the 90th anniversary of the Party's Propaganda tradition" (August 1, 1930 - August 1, 2020).

The contest "Learning about the 90th anniversary of the Party's Propaganda sector's tradition" in online form on the social network VCNET took place from March 23, 2020 and ended on July 13, 2020. Over 16 weeks of competition, each week had 10 multiple-choice test questions with content closely following important events and milestones in the history of the Propaganda sector to highlight the role of Propaganda work in the Vietnamese revolutionary cause under the leadership of the Party.

The contest attracted more than 6.2 million participants. After 16 weeks, the Organizing Committee has determined the winners of 198 prizes, including 16 First prizes; 32 Second prizes; 80 Third prizes; 128 Consolation prizes with a total prize value of 474 million VND.

Nghe An is one of the three units with the largest number of participants (251,101 people with 877,197 turns), the second highest number of awards nationwide. Teacher Vo Thi Huong - Vice Principal of Thanh Khai Kindergarten, Thanh Chuong District (Nghe An) is the one who won the most awards with 2 First prizes and 3 Encouragement prizes. With the achievements, the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee received a Certificate of Merit from the Central Propaganda Department.

Nghe An has 4 individuals winning first prizes of the week: Comrade Vo Thi Huong - Vice Principal of Thanh Khai Commune Kindergarten, Thanh Chuong District; Lu Duc Bau, teacher of Huu Khuong Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Tuong Duong District; Pham Van Manh, Hung Dong Commune, Vinh City; Bui Van Thai, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City.

The contest “Learning about the 90th anniversary of the Party’s Propaganda Sector’s tradition” on VCNET is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition and important milestones of the sector. Thereby, raising awareness and promoting experiences to flexibly, creatively and effectively apply in innovating the content and methods of Propaganda work, meeting current requirements and tasks.

Through the Contest, it contributes to propagating and promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style widely throughout society; thereby, repelling the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". At the same time, it contributes to fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints, in order to protect the Party's ideological foundation.
