Nghe An was commended for its coordination in propaganda work on seas and islands in 2019.

On the morning of December 25, in Thai Binh city, the Naval Region I Command coordinated with the Propaganda Departments of Thai Binh, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, and Tuyen Quang provinces to hold a conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2019 and deploy the work plan for 2020.

In 2019, according to the Naval Region 1 Command, the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands was carried out according to plan, contributing to consolidating and raising awareness, consciousness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, officers, soldiers and people, creating a combined strength in the cause of fighting and protecting the sovereignty of the seas, islands and sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment at sea.

Through the coordination of sea and island propaganda with localities, it is also an extremely favorable condition for officers and soldiers to study, practice, improve their qualities, capacity and level in all aspects; absorb the good cultural values ​​of each locality, perfect the qualities and personality of naval soldiers, meet the requirements of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern Vietnam People's Navy.

The forces of Naval Region 1 on duty in sea and island areas proactively coordinate with the Military Command and Border Guard Command of coastal provinces to effectively implement the Project "Strengthening the dissemination and education of law for officials and people in border and island areas in the period of 2017 - 2021"; launch and deploy the Program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea".

In Nghe An, propaganda work on seas and islands closely follows the viewpoints and policies of the Party and State. In particular, regularly organize propaganda for cadres, party members and the masses about the potential and strengths of Vietnam's seas and islands for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; from there, focus on propaganda about the potential and strengths of Nghe An's seas and islands, the province's marine economic development program, in which focus on propaganda about offshore fishing, aquaculture, seafood, and development of sea and island tourism; encourage typical advanced collectives and individuals in the cause of marine economic development, building the political system and organizing cultural life in coastal areas.

Propaganda and education activities are regularly organized in conjunction with the campaigns "Let's clean the sea", "Sentiment of borders and islands"; organizing the exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - historical and legal evidence"; Nghe An Newspaper opens the columns "Protecting sovereignty of seas and islands", "Border - Sea and islands", "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam".

To continue promoting coordination in propaganda work on seas and islands, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation, the Naval Region I Command and the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committees of 6 provinces agreed to innovate the content, form, method and means of propaganda on seas and islands with the motto "deep, effective, close to reality, close to the target".

In coordinating propaganda, units proactively discuss to select and implement specific, practical, comprehensive actions, focusing on oral propaganda and press propaganda, and coordinate the organization of key activities, thereby creating highlights and widespread influence among all classes of people.
