According to statistics from Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital: During the cold spell starting from February 9, 2017 to February 13, 2017, the Hospital examined and treated 2,911 children (530 children had to be hospitalized for treatment).

Among them, there are quite a few children suffering from diseases caused by sudden changes in weather such as acute tonsillitis, runny nose, cough, fever, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, otitis media... The number of children suffering from these diseases is about 1,000.

Doctors at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital recommend: After the cold spell, when the weather starts to get sunny, children are at high risk of contracting respiratory diseases and infectious diseases such as viral fever, dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease and chickenpox. Parents need to keep their children warm, maintain personal hygiene and a clean environment, and avoid taking them to crowded places.

In addition, it is necessary to vaccinate children and ensure nutrition.
