(Baonghean.vn) - In 2021, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Nghe An province chaired and implemented 4 social security programs with a total value of cash and converted goods donated reaching nearly 573 billion VND.

On the morning of April 21, the Provincial Mobilization Committee for the Poor and Relief Fund summarized its activities in 2021 and deployed tasks for 2022. According to the assessment of the Provincial Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor and Relief Fund, in 2021, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the mobilization of the Provincial Fund for the Poor and Relief Fund encountered many difficulties. However, the Provincial Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor and Relief Fund at all levels has made efforts to call for, mobilize, and care for the poor better and better.

Relief activities have created trust among people, organizations, individuals, agencies and units supporting the Relief Fund, contributing to ensuring social security in the province.

The work of mobilizing and allocating funds for Covid-19 prevention and control has been deployed and implemented well, promptly supporting frontline forces, people and localities in their efforts to overcome difficulties.

In 2021, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province chaired and implemented 4 social security programs with a total value of cash and converted goods donated reaching nearly 573 billion VND.

Of which, support for Covid-19 prevention and control is more than 255.7 billion VND; Support for "Tet for the poor Tan Suu 2021" is nearly 97.5 billion VND; Support for "Fund for the poor" is more than 84.5 billion VND; Support for provincial relief work is more than 135 billion VND.

From this source of support, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have allocated funds for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control; given gifts to poor households and disadvantaged households; supported livelihood models, built solidarity houses for poor households; supported poor patients and provided online learning equipment for poor students...

In 2022, the Provincial Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor and Relief Fund will continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and call for social resources to care for, support, and help poor households and vulnerable groups in society; advise on timely support when natural disasters, epidemics, and incidents occur; pay attention to patients with serious illnesses. At the same time, focus on monitoring and inspecting the disbursement of social security resources to ensure they are for the right purposes, in accordance with regulations, to the right subjects, publicly, promptly, and effectively.

At the conference, the decision was passed to strengthen the Provincial Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor and Relief, and to assign tasks to the Committee members.
