Nearly 60 years ago, along with the whole country responding to the call for general mobilization, more than 200 teachers from Nghe An went to support the South to fight the Americans. These were all carefully selected teachers, steadfast in political ideology, good in expertise, and assigned to do educational work in the South.
The main tasks were to train teachers, build an educational movement, and participate in combat to contribute to consolidating and expanding liberated areas.

Among the teachers who volunteered to go to B, there were 14 teachers who were martyrs, 4 teachers who were imprisoned by the enemy, and more than 40 teachers who were affected by Agent Orange. Many teachers such as teachers Chu Cap, Tran Van Mau, Tran Hanh, and Thai Duy Trap, despite being imprisoned and brutally tortured by the enemy, remained steadfast in their revolutionary spirit.
The meeting is a traditional activity that has been held for many years. This is also an opportunity for teachers who went to B to recall a past that was difficult, arduous but also very heroic.

During the war, teachers in B were an elite force in the field of ideological and cultural education, real soldiers who held both pens and guns, stayed close to the people and the land. At the same time, they trained teachers, built educational movements, fought, and protected the country.
After peace, the former teachers who went to B continued their education career and despite different positions, circumstances and jobs, they always promoted the revolutionary tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers and were exemplary teachers, making many contributions to their homeland and country.
