Nghe An holds a meeting with businesses operating in the tourism service sector.
On the afternoon of October 10th, the Nghe An Department of Tourism organized a meeting with tourism service businesses to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13th, 2004 - October 13th, 2024).
Attending the conference were: Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association; and representatives of tourism service businesses in Nghe An province.

Most notably, this includes the recovery of production and business activities in Nghe An's tourism industry after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the first nine months of 2024, Nghe An's tourism development indicators reached over 95% of the planned targets.
It can be affirmed that in 2024, the tourism industry will complete the assigned targets according to the plan, creating a solid foundation for the tourism industry to fulfill the targets of the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
In the face of development demands, Nghe An's tourism industry is confronting many difficulties and challenges, requiring state tourism management agencies at all levels, the business community, and entrepreneurs in the province to work together and make greater efforts to elevate the province's tourism industry to a new level.
At the conference, representatives from the Department of Tourism provided information on the performance of Nghe An's tourism industry during the first nine months of the year and the key tasks for the remaining months of 2024. In the first nine months of 2024, the number of tourists reached 8,430,000, equivalent to 115% compared to the same period in 2023; of which, overnight visitors reached 5,320,000, equivalent to 114% compared to the same period in 2023; international visitors reached 84,200, equivalent to 157% compared to the same period in 2023; total revenue from tourism is estimated at 26,244 billion VND, and tourism revenue is estimated at 10,217 billion VND.
Attending the conference, delegates expressed their opinions and discussed the difficulties and obstacles faced by tourism businesses in their production and business activities. At the conclusion of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Department of Tourism, acknowledged the efforts of tourism service businesses and the feedback from the delegates. The difficulties and obstacles raised by the delegates will be studied and forwarded to relevant levels and sectors for resolution.
