Nghe An: The highest sugarcane price reached 1,150,000 VND/ton in the field.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Quy Hop and Nghia Dan sugarcane regions, the highest sugarcane price reached 1,150,000 VND/ton in the field; Nghe An Sugarcane Company Limited (NASU) paid 267 billion VND for sugarcane to farmers.
As of January 23, Nghe An Sugarcane Company Limited (NASU) had been pressing for 44 days, with an output of 331,521 tons.

Farmers in Nghia Dan, Quy Hop and Quy Chau districts will receive full cash after importing sugarcane to the factory within 48 hours at Bac A Thai Hoa and Quy Hop Bank or by bank transfer. The purchase price at the field is 880,000 VND/ton for sugarcane with 10 CCS.
In addition, the company also rewards farmers who plant new varieties as recommended, take good care of sugarcane, and import to the factory high CCS sugarcane with an amount of more than 6.2 billion VND.Thus, the average sugarcane price in the field so far is nearly 900,000 VND/ton.
Nghia Thinh Commune, Nghia Dan District imported 11,433 tons of sugarcane to the factory with an average CCS of 12.49; Due to the high CCS, the price of sugarcane at the field in this locality is nearly 940,000 VND/ton. Many farmers who imported sugarcane were rewarded from 2 to 4 million VND/truck.
Mr. Hoang Duc Hoan in Tan Lap hamlet, Nghia Tan commune, Nghia Dan district planted QD93-159 sugarcane variety, using high potassium fertilizer as top dressing according to the factory's recommended process. On January 10, 2018, he harvested sugarcane and brought it to the factory. The test results using the infrared system (NIR) showed that the sugar content in the sugarcane reached 16.10 CCS, the highest to date. He was rewarded 4,147,200 VND, which means the price of sugarcane at Mr. Hoan's field was 1,150,000 VND/ton./.
