Nghe An won 3 Second Prizes at the 2024 North Central Region Chamber of Commerce Competition
On December 18, in Ha Tinh city, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 2024 "Room service in tourist accommodation establishments in the North Central region" contest took place, jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces.
Contestants Ho Huu Huy, Dau Quang Hung, Nguyen Thi Hang from hotels in Nghe An surpassed 34 contestants from 23 tourist accommodation establishments participating in the Contest and excellently won 03 Second Prizes at the Contest "Room service in tourist accommodation establishments in the expanded North Central provinces” in 2024; ranked first is contestant Le Thi Thu Phuong (hotel in Ha Tinh).
Housekeeping is an important part of the accommodation service business chain, contributing to the success of hotel businesses.
The contest is organized with the aim of improving the professional qualifications and skills of the staff serving in the accommodation industry. This is a good opportunity for the contestants to exchange, learn, share experiences, and at the same time affirm the role and contribution of the quality of accommodation facilities in improving the quality of services and enhancing the image of Vietnam tourism in general and the provinces of the North Central region in particular, including the image of Nghe An tourism to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
After 2 days of exciting competition, the contestants went through 4 rounds: multiple choice test on housekeeping, flower arrangement, bed making and decorating according to a self-selected theme, and situational response. The contestants basically completed the rounds well, demonstrating their professional expertise in housekeeping at accommodation facilities. Among them, many contestants performed excellently in the rounds, demonstrating their ability to handle situations flexibly and professionally.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, 10 Consolation Prizes and 4 other consolation prizes to the contestants.
