Nghe An wins 6 medals at the 2024 National Paralympic Sports Championship
(Baonghean.vn) - At the 2024 National Paralympic Sports Championship that ended last weekend, the Nghe An delegation, despite only having 2 athletes, won 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals, ranking 12th overall.
The 2024 National Paralympic Sports Championship took place in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering 268 athletes from 17 units across the country competing in 178 events in athletics, archery, judo, and marbles.
At this year's tournament, Nghe An delegation has 2 athletes participating in athletics with the following events: 400m run, 800m run and 1,500m run.
As a result, Nghe An athletes won 6 medals. Of which, athlete Ta Van Duy won 1 Gold Medal in the 800m race, 1 Silver Medal in the 400m race and 1 Bronze Medal in the 1,500m race; athlete Mai Thi Thuy Hang won a Silver Medal in the 800m race and 2 Bronze Medals in the 400m and 1,500m races.

The National Sports Championship for the Disabled is held annually to promote, motivate and encourage people with disabilities to participate in physical exercise to improve their health, confidence, community integration and demonstrate their determination in sports competitions; promote the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" for the period 2021-2030.
