Nghe An: Two "special" candidates pass the high school graduation exam.

(Baonghean.vn) -During the recent high school graduation exam in Nghe An province, a pregnant student (9 months pregnant) and the oldest student among the candidates were overjoyed to learn that they had passed.

They are Ms. Le Thi Thu (34 years old), a pregnant woman in her ninth month who works at the Yen Thang commune health station (Tuong Duong district), and Mr. Vi Xuan Luyen (54 years old), Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Yen Thang commune (Tuong Duong).

On the morning of June 17th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Que (Director of the Continuing Education Center of Con Cuong District) announced that two special candidates from the school, Lo Thi Thu (34 years old, 9 months pregnant) and Vi Xuan Luyen (54 years old), the oldest candidate in Nghe An province, had passed the high school graduation exam.

According to Ms. Que, Ms. Thu scored 22 points (Mathematics 5.5; Literature 2.5; Chemistry 6.0 and Physics 8.0), plus 4 bonus points including 2 points for vocational skills, 1 point for a computer science certificate and 1 point for an English certificate. Combined with her 12th-grade results, Ms. Thu's average graduation score is 5.75. Mr. Luyen had a total score of 27.5 in the four subjects (Mathematics 8.0; Literature 4.5; Physics 6.0 and Chemistry 9.0), achieving a graduation score of 6.5.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the Con Cuong District Continuing Education Center had 34 candidates taking the exam this year, and all passed with a 100% graduation rate. Meanwhile, the entire Nghe An province had 1,872 high school supplementary education students who passed the graduation exam (achieving a rate of 95.55%).
