Recently, on route 7, there have been continuous appearances of all kinds of "parachute"7, 12, 16 seater buses running from Vinh to Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son compete for customers with fixed routes.
In addition, there are also some fixed-route passenger buses running from Nghe An to Saigon, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Hanoi, Mong Cai... under the pretext of picking up and dropping off passengers at home and pretending to be contracted vehicles, also picking up passengers on short trips from Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong to Vinh. This has caused considerable damage to transport businesses that have registered fixed intra-provincial routes.

The fact that illegal vehicles and off-route vehicles try to pick up passengers along Highway 7 has forced transport companies to register fixed routes from Muong Xen,Xiangyang, Con Cuong to Vinh is extremely frustrating. These are businesses that have to register for parking, fixed routes, and each time they enter or exit the station, they have to pay a fee. Meanwhile, illegal vehicles and vehicles that go the wrong way do not have to pay any fees.
Mr. T, a driver running the Tuong Duong - Vinh route, said that before there were illegal buses and buses that went beyond the route, each trip from Vinh to Tuong Duong had about 30 passengers, but now each trip has only 4-5 passengers. Running two trips up and down each day, the number of passengers is not enough to cover the cost of fuel.
Currently, departing from Bac Vinh Bus Station, there are 34 buses running from Vinh to route 7, to Con Cuong and Tuong Duong districts.Ky Son.

Some drivers and vehicle owners have also reported to the Department of Transport representatives that they have been threatened when they spoke out against passenger buses running on the wrong routes. Many vehicles even pretend to be contract vehicles but only run on fixed routes to pick up passengers.
At the meeting, Mr. Ha Tien Son - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Transport said that in the near future, the Traffic Inspectorate will coordinate with the competent authorities of the districts to handle this issue. Mr. Son also suggested that in the coming time, the transport companies should continue to maintain their transport business to ensure the travel needs of the people.
"Previously, the Department of Transport also received information that some vehicles were running beyond the route and sent documents to the Departments of Transport of the provinces. Some provinces have responded in writing stating that they have revoked some badges of these vehicles. In the near future, we will propose to the police forces of the districts to thoroughly handle illegal vehicles and vehicles that pretend to be under contract to run on fixed routes. If any vehicle is issued by the Nghe An Department of Transport, it will be revoked immediately. If the vehicle is issued by another department, we will coordinate to handle it."
