Nghe An: Thousands of union members join "Green Sunday"
(Baonghean.vn) - Youth Union members in many localities simultaneously launched "Green Sunday", responding to Youth Month with many meaningful activities.
* On the morning of March 24, Yen Thanh District Youth Union coordinated with the Rural Youth Union and the delegations of agencies, units, and schools to launch an urban beautification campaign at the Town Crossroads and Phan Dang Luu Square.

More than 500 youth union members organized cleaning, garbage collection, and leveling of flower beds and trees in Phan Dang Luu Square and the town road to Phuc Thanh with a length of more than 200 m.
After cleaning up the environment and leveling the ground, Yen Thanh youth planted more than 1,000 flowers on the flower beds and green areca trees that were planned to be built along the road and Phan Dang Luu Square area, creating a green - clean - beautiful and civilized environment.

In just one morning, the Youth Union members dredged more than 3 km of canals, collected 8 tons of waste, cleared 11 km of road banks, cleaned and planted medicinal plants at grassroots health stations. In addition, grassroots Youth Union organizations organized recruitment of new members.

The Youth Union mobilized more than 1,000 youth union members to participate in tasks such as cleaning main roads, collecting garbage on roads around towns, markets, and schools; dredging canals in the fields; clearing bushes and leveling the land to plant flowers on the roads, etc.

In Do Luong town and Yen Son, Thuan Son, Hong Son, Luu Son communes, etc., youth union members simultaneously started dredging irrigation canals, collecting garbage and pesticide packaging, and planting flowers on both sides of rural roads. Some union units continued to renovate the grounds of medical stations and schools, clean up martyrs’ memorial houses, and collect garbage on inter-hamlet roads.
After 1 day of operation, the youth union members dredged nearly 6km of intra-field canals, collected over 5 tons of garbage, and planted flowers with a total length of 3.5km.
