After three weeks of launching the free SIM upgrade and 4G SIM exchange campaign, thousands of customers are switching to this service daily at 45 Viettel stores, supermarkets, authorized dealers, and post offices throughout Nghe An province. Customers are enthusiastically upgrading their SIMs to be among the first to experience all the benefits of the new technology.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Binh (Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City) said: “I am really looking forward to connecting to 4G to be one of the first to experience internet speeds 10 times faster than today. Especially, I want to enjoy perfect service quality when watching HD movies, streaming videos, downloading/uploading, browsing the web… all quickly on my mobile phone.”

As soon as she learned about Viettel's free SIM card exchange program, Ms. Phan Thi Hong Linh (Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City) went to a Viettel store to upgrade her current SIM to a Viettel 4G SIM. She shared: "I frequently use social media like Facebook and Skype to chat with relatives and friends far away, so switching to a 4G SIM will make chatting online more convenient and provide clearer images; therefore, I immediately supported the switch."

To exchange your Viettel SIM for a free 4G SIM, from now until February 28, 2017, customers only need to bring their national identity card or passport to complete the conversion procedure. During the 4G SIM card exchange process, Viettel specifically advises customers to register their subscriber information accurately according to the regulations of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Owning a subscriber account in your own name helps ensure maximum benefits for customers when using the services provided by the network operator. The free 4G SIM card exchange and personal registration campaign is one of Viettel's customer support and care activities for existing customers. |
To mark the launch of the free 4G SIM card exchange campaign, in addition to the existing 45 stores, supermarkets, and agents located in cities, towns, and districts throughout Nghe An province, Viettel has expanded its network of FREE SIM CARD EXCHANGE POINTS to every commune since January 14th through its network of Viettel transaction points at the commune level. Furthermore, in densely populated areas, Viettel Nghe An has also deployed additional mobile SIM card exchange points or assigned staff to visit customers' homes to provide maximum support.
To date, Viettel has essentially completed its infrastructure and network to be ready to provide 4G services in the first quarter of 2017.
