Nghe An supports 52,042 beneficiaries with a budget of more than 76.5 billion VND according to Resolution 68
(Baonghean.vn) - Although attention has been paid to the implementation of policies to support workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, progress in some localities has been slow, results have not been high, and it has not been able to cover all affected groups.
At the special meeting of the People's Committee of Nghe An province in November 2021, the leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs reported on the implementation of policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 in the province.
Mr. Bui Van Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said that as of November 9, Nghe An province has approved 68,172 beneficiaries (of which 63,024 are direct beneficiaries, 5,148 are additional beneficiaries for pregnant women and children) to be supported under Resolution 68/NQ-CP. Up to now, the Provincial People's Committee has provided funding to support 52,042 beneficiaries, with a budget of 76,572 billion VND.

7,101 units with 157,591 employees have had their contributions to the Occupational Accident and Disease Insurance Fund reduced by VND 18,443 billion; 13 units with 821 employees have had their contributions to the Pension and Death Fund temporarily suspended, by VND 5.6 billion.
Regarding the support package under Resolution 116/NQ-CP, Nghe An has basically completed the determination of the reduction in contributions for 6,943 units, with 158,911 employees, the adjusted estimated budget (from October 2021 to September 2022) is about 85.6 billion VND. Support has been paid to 147,196 people, the amount of 351,153 billion VND.
Supported 632 children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic from mobilized resources and local budget with a total amount of more than 581 million VND. There are 22 children who are children of pregnant women infected with Covid-19 and orphans affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and families in difficult circumstances, the supported budget is 50 million VND.
The province has provided 341,100 kg of rice to 4 districts and towns including Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Ky Son and Hoang Mai town to support 4,579 households with 22,740 people who are hungry. The province is currently submitting to ministries and branches to report to the Prime Minister to provide more than 700,000 kg of rice to 13,631 households with more than 46,700 people for 17 districts, towns and cities.
However, according to the Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the implementation of policies to support employees and employers according to Resolution 68/NQ-CP, Decision 23/2021/QD-TTg, Decision No. 22/2021/QD-UBND in the province has received attention, but the progress in some localities is slow and the results are not high. Policies to support people and employees cannot cover all affected groups.

Since the fourth outbreak of Covid-19, more than 99,945 people have returned to their localities from the epidemic area. Of these, 75,858 people (accounting for nearly 76%) are of working age, most of whom have not been trained. According to the survey, up to now, there are 45,292 people in need of employment, of which more than 21,661 people need to work in the province, 20,749 people need to work outside the province.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also said that there are currently nearly 300 enterprises in need of recruiting over 67,000 workers; of which enterprises in the province need to recruit over 37,000 workers. Nghe An Employment Service Center has provided information, consulting and introducing over 30,809 job positions to workers; supporting consulting and introducing jobs to 2,517 workers in need.
To solve employment, restore and develop the labor market, in the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will promote information and propaganda work; Continue to support business development, create new jobs; Organize job exchanges, consulting conferences, introduce jobs to workers; Give priority to workers returning from epidemic areas to borrow capital and create jobs at the Social Policy Bank./.
