On the morning of June 18, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize an online conference on digital transformation in the field of agriculture and rural development. At the conference, Minister Le Minh Hoan emphasized: "The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development identifies science and technology and production reorganization as two important pillars in the agricultural restructuring project. Both of these issues are closely related to digital transformation."
Accordingly, the construction of a digital agricultural data system that allows storage and management of Vietnamese agricultural data, combined with data information display applications, is essential. The Vietnamese digital agricultural map system will meet the goal of managing and continuously updating data on soil, hydrology, agricultural products, forestry products, and aquatic products in all provinces and cities nationwide.
Thereby, helping state management agencies have enough data and updated figures to plan macro strategies and policies (including market research planning, management policy planning, crop area planning...).
The digital data system in agriculture will also help connect buyers and sellers, expand output markets, and increase product value. Businesses operating in the agricultural sector have objective, updated, and complete information to plan strategies and business plans.

To keep up with the digital transformation process effectively and qualitatively, Nghe An agriculture sector will focus on developing high-tech agriculture in the direction of focusing on smart agriculture, precision agriculture, increasing the proportion of digital agriculture in the economy. Focus on building big data of the industry such as land, crops, livestock, and aquatic products.
Building an integrated aerial and ground observation and monitoring network to serve agricultural activities. Promoting the provision of information on the environment, weather, and soil quality to help farmers improve crop productivity and quality, and supporting and sharing agricultural equipment via digital platforms.
Applying digital technology to automate production and business processes; managing and monitoring product origins and supply chains to ensure speed, accuracy, safety and food hygiene. Promoting the development of e-commerce in agriculture.
