Nghe An completes dual goals for the 2020-2021 school year

Complete the school year goals as planned

Speaking at the opening of the conference, DirectorDepartment of Education and Trainingpointed out 10 achievements of the Nghe An Education sector in the 2020-2021 school year, in which the sector has performed well in the school year's tasks in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic across the country. Therefore, at this time, while many localities have not completed the school year, some localities have to use the graduation assessment method, Nghe An has completed the school year as planned, successfully organized the 10th grade entrance exams and the 2021 high school graduation exams.

This is also the school year that Nghe An has achieved many achievements in all 4 levels of education with proactive and effective implementation.General education program2018, build modern, integrated teaching programs and content, aiming at the goal of global citizenship, innovate teaching and learning methods and assessment to improve the quality of comprehensive education at each level.

Up to this point, Nghe An is also the leading province in the country in doing a good job of training teachers to prepare for the program of replacing textbooks for 100% of teachers...

The sector has also promptly advised the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee to issue important resolutions and decisions on education and training. In particular, it is the first unit in the country to advise the Provincial People's Council to pass a resolution regulating the maximum collection of service fees, serving and supporting educational activities... contributing to bringing the 2019 Education Law into life.

At the end of the 2020-2021 school year, Nghe An increased 7 places in high school graduation exam results. The whole province has 1valedictorianNationwide, many students achieved second place and were in the top 10 nationwide. The quality of key education continued to be maintained with 81 students winning prizes at the national excellent student competition, 5 students won Gold and Silver medals at regional and international Olympic competitions - leading the country. Many Nghe An students also made many impressions on national playgrounds. In particular, for the first time, Nghe An students won first prize in the "National Creativity of Youth and Children" competition, 1 project won second prize in the student competition with startup ideas.

Improve the quality of comprehensive education

Speaking at the meeting, many localities shared their experiences in implementing 2-session teaching/day, enhancing English and life skills teaching, and implementing the construction of high-quality key schools. In addition, many issues to prepare for the new school year were also mentioned, but how to improve the quality of education in mountainous areas...

Concluding the meeting, comrade Bui Dinh Long acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Nghe An Education sector in the past school year.

However, in addition to the achieved results, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted 3 shortcomings such as inadequacies in school network planning, many levels of education are lacking teachers, schools in many places are degraded, teaching and learning equipment is lacking. Objectively assessed, the quality of comprehensive education is at the high average level of the whole country.

Regarding the direction and tasks for the next school year, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the solutions proposed by the Education sector. In addition, Mr. Bui Dinh Long also noted two issues. That is, regarding the scale of schools, it is necessary to aim at eliminating separate schools in mountainous districts, and moving towards building boarding schools at all levels. To do this well, the first responsibility must belong to the local government. Second, the Education sector also needs to pay attention to having a legal mechanism to convert schools, advise on policy mechanisms, including the issue of socialization of education...

To improve the quality of teaching, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Education sector should do a good job of evaluating teaching in schools to have a complete view of the leadership and organization of teaching and learning. From there, each principal and each teacher will see their responsibility and see that quality is the measure of the quality of education in schools.

Preparing to enter the new school year in the context of complicated epidemic developments, comrade Bui Dinh Long suggested that the entire industry should promptly review the conditions for epidemic prevention safety at all schools, ensuring students go to school safely. In addition, it is necessary to do a good job of revenue and expenditure at the beginning of the year, absolutely not allowing overcharging to occur./.
