Nghe An: Orphaned student wins first prize in provincial excellent student contest

(Baonghean.vn) - That is Nguyen Thi Mo, a student of class 11D, Thanh Chuong 3 High School - a school with a long history of teaching and learning in the mountainous district of Thanh Chuong.

Mo is the youngest of three children, his parents are farmers in Son Thinh hamlet, Phong Thinh commune, Thanh Chuong. His father died of a serious illness when Mo was in 9th grade, and his mother alone worked hard to raise three children. Currently, the eldest brother has finished university and has a job, while the second brother is in his final year.

Feeling sorry for her mother who had to work hard to raise her younger siblings and her brothers, Mo has always been conscious and self-motivated in her studies since she was young. In addition to her class time, at home, she always looks for more materials and learns from her friends. In the recent Nghe An province excellent student competition, Mo won first prize in Physics. This is a remarkable result for this orphaned, poor girl who overcame difficulties.

Sharing her secret to studying, Nguyen Thi Mo said: “First of all, you must master the basic knowledge in the textbook, then look for advanced exercises to solve. If you are not clear, ask your teacher or friends. You must answer questions and concerns about the old lesson before studying the new lesson.”

Achieving the highest prize in Physics in the provincial excellent student exam, but for Mo, that is only the initial result, because there are many important exams ahead and the future path is wide open ahead.
