Nghe An: Spring Meeting with Investors 2019 was held on February 23

To prepare for the Spring 2019 Investor Meeting, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Provincial People's Committee to establish an Organizing Committee headed by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy and sub-committees to prepare for the Conference, accordingly assigning specific tasks to the sub-committees to carry out the tasks.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed that the Spring Investor Meeting will take place on the afternoon of February 23, 2019 (January 19, Year of the Pig) in Cua Lo town.

This conference is expected to have more than 700 delegates attending with the presence of many leaders of the Party, State, ministries and central branches; domestic and foreign enterprises and investors; representatives of embassies, investment and trade promotion agencies, business associations of many countries in Vietnam; economic and investment counselors of Vietnam in countries where Nghe An has organized investment and trade promotion, investment environment promotion;...

Through review, up to now, the Organizing Committee has compiled 38 projects inside and outside economic zones and industrial parks, of which 6 investment certificates/approvals will be issued, 13 projects will sign investment memorandums of understanding, 14 projects will focus on attracting investment and 3 projects will be inaugurated/started.

Reporting to the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa, Deputy Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, said: The Provincial People's Committee continues to direct the Investment Promotion and Support Center to continue connecting and updating until the Conference date to prepare documents, investment memorandums, and award decisions approving investment policies/certificates for projects at the Conference.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions on the plan to organize the above conference. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy discussed the contents related to the organization of the conference, emphasizing the review of work, especially investment attraction projects.

Concluding this content, basically agreeing with the content and program of the Conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh requested the Organizing Committee to review the program, prepare carefully, and at the same time pay attention to completing some related contents such as: composition, guest list; speeches of enterprises and agencies; propaganda work; in which, with guests, it is necessary to have representatives of enterprises that are implementing investment and have many investment prospects in the province; regarding the report on the implementation of investment projects in the area, it is necessary to update the list and progress of implementation from 2014 to present, emphasizing 2018.

In particular, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that it is necessary to carefully prepare the introduction of the province's preferential policies. In addition to documents at the Conference, it is necessary to have a presentation through slideshows, focusing on major policies to impress investors.

In addition, the Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center completes the conference report with complete and accurate information, especially on projects that need to be classified into groups of completed and put into operation, in progress, in the process of completing procedures, and not yet implemented; separated into groups of industry, construction, and services (tourism, transportation, finance and banking) to provide clearer information on the province's investment attraction picture; at the same time, continue to connect and promote the province's image to investors to create investment opportunities in the following years....

Nghe An has organized 10 meetings with investors with the aim of expressing gratitude to investors who have made many contributions to the province's socio-economic development.

With the effectiveness of the meetings with investors, from 2015 to now, the province has implemented 29 large non-budget investment projects (registered capital of over 500 billion VND/project), with a total investment of 47,922 billion VND, including 24 domestic projects with a total investment of 42,210 billion VND and 5 foreign direct investment projects with a total investment of 246 million USD.
