Nghe An: More than 12,000 frontline laborers receive benefits

(Baonghean.vn) - From January 1, 2016, Decision 49/2015/QD-TTg on a number of policies and regimes for frontline workers officially took effect. After nearly 1 year of implementation, nearly 12,000 cases in Nghe An have enjoyed the regime.

According to regulations, the subjects entitled to the regime and policies under Decision 49 are: Civil servants on the frontline participating in the resistance war against France from September 1945 to July 20, 1954; participating in the resistance war against America from July 20, 1954 to April 30, 1975 nationwide and in Laos and Cambodia.

In addition, the decision also applies to the following subjects: Civilians on the frontline participating in the war to protect the Fatherland in the Southwestern border, the Northern border, and performing international duties in Laos from 1975 to 1989. The areas performing the tasks in the war to protect the Fatherland are border districts and districts adjacent to border districts that have the requirement to serve and ensure combat missions.

In Nghe An, implementing Decision No. 49, the province has received 67,561 applications sent from districts. Of these, 43,960 applications have been reported to the military region and currently 5,719 cases have been benefited with a total amount of nearly 14 billion VND. In addition, 7,000 more applications have been approved and are expected to be paid in April and May 2017.

This is the first time that the payment of regimes and policies for frontline workers has been implemented. The one-time subsidy level is determined according to the actual time of direct participation in frontline workers (in case of participation in frontline workers in different periods or interruptions, it will be accumulated). In which, under 01 year, the subsidy level is 2,000,000 VND; from 01 year to under 02 years, the subsidy level is 2,700,000 VND; From 02 years or more, the subsidy level is 3,500,000 VND.

In case of death, relatives such as wife or husband; biological father, biological mother; biological children, adopted children or legal guardians will be entitled to the regime.

In addition, those who are not yet covered by health insurance are covered by health insurance. Upon death, the person in charge of the funeral is entitled to funeral allowance at the rate prescribed by the law on social insurance.
