As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at about 3:00 p.m. on April 16, 2016, Luong Tran Chu and Luong Van Nghi (both residing in Tan Thiet hamlet, Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan district)go out for drinks at a friend's wedding.
When they got home, the two sides had a heated argument about the land issue. Already drunk, Luong VanChu ran home, brought a knife to Nghi's house and slashed the victim many times until Nghi collapsed in a pool of blood.
After committing the crime, Chu fled the area. After many hours on the run, Chu was persuaded by his family and local authorities to turn himself in.
It is known that Chu is married and has 3 children. Every day, Chu often indulges in alcohol and has no will to work.
