Nghe An: Thieves broke into a temple and destroyed the donation box on Tet holiday
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of the late night, thieves broke into Lam Son Pagoda (Quynh Luu), broke open the safe and stole all the donated money.
On the morning of February 6 (the second day of the Lunar New Year), some Buddhists and people came to the temple to offer incense and make merit when they discovered that two safes placed in the main shrine of the temple had been broken into by thieves, taking all the money donated by Buddhists and visitors to the temple during the Tet holiday. The incident was immediately reported to the abbot.

After receiving the report of the theft, the police force went to the scene to make a record of the incident. According to the report from the temple, the amount of money in the safe had not been counted.
Currently, the case is being investigated by the authorities to be handled according to the provisions of law.
