Nghe An opens Cuong Temple Festival

((Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 11, Dien Chau district held the opening ceremony of the 2017 Cuong Temple Festival. The festival commemorates the great merit of Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong and the kings who founded the Au Lac nation.

Cuong Temple Festival 2017 took place for 4 days, from March 10 to 13, attracting a large number of tourists and locals to come and enjoy the festival.Photo: Thu Huong.

The festival has two parts. The ceremony also includes the procession of General Cao Lo from the Cao family temple, Dien Tho commune to Xuan Ai Communal House, the procession of the King and Princess from Xuan Ai Communal House to Cuong Temple. The festival has exciting cultural, artistic and sports activities such as: Men's and women's volleyball competition, folk games such as: merry-go-round, cockfighting, lion dance, sack jumping, photo exhibition... The Cuong Temple Festival is also an opportunity for people from different regions in the province to meet, exchange and join in the fun with cultural and artistic performances imbued with the traditions of each locality.
