Currently, communes and towns are urgently mobilizing forces, cars and cutting machines to concentrate on clearing and ensuring smooth traffic.

Heavy rain also flooded dozens of winter corn fields in the communes of Luu Son, Tru Son, Hien Son... Currently, farmers are going to the fields to clear the drainage system to minimize damage caused by heavy rain.

*In Nghia Dan districtThe water has flooded deeply, causing danger to people when participating in traffic. Specifically, Tran Hieu Bridge, Nghia Thinh Commune, KM92 + B50 section, National Highway 48E connecting Nghia Thinh with Nghia Hung, crossing Hieu River Bridge, is flooded about 2m deep; Tran Dinh Bridge, Km97 + 850 connecting Nghia Hung Commune, Nghia Dan District and Nghia Xuan Commune, Quy Hop, is flooded 1.2m deep; other spillways in the district such as Nghia Dan Town; Nghia Binh... are also flooded about 0.4m deep.

In Nghia Hung commune, roads for 11 hamlets with over 1,000 households were cut off and isolated. Water flooded into houses, gardens and wells, reaching over 1 meter in some places.

At Tran Hieu Bridge, Nghia Thinh Commune (Nghia Dan), section KM92+B50, National Highway 48E connecting Nghia Thinh with Nghia Hung, the flood water is nearly 1 meter deep, dangerous for people and vehicles passing by. In this situation, the People's Committee of Nghia Thinh Commune has set up fences and signs prohibiting people from crossing the flooded spillway.

To warn people when passing through the spillway, the district has directed communes to place warning signs; assigned officers to guard and prevent people and vehicles from passing through the spillway during rainy and flood days.

Mr. Vi Viet Kieu - Vice Chairman of Tam Thai Commune People's Committee said: Storm No. 10 washed away 6 fish cages on the river. Mr. Lo Van Tuyen's household in Canh Trap village, Tam Thai had 3 fish cages damaged, total damage of about 150 million VND. Currently, the commune is directing people to fix it.

After the storm, Tuong Duong district had 6 cages in Tam Thai commune, 2 fish cages in Thach Giam, 13 fish ponds in Xa Luong swept away, fish production was damaged about 1 ton. Many irrigation works were damaged such as irrigation works in Na Can, Tam Thai were filled more than 15m.³Two domestic water works in Xoong Con village, Tam Thai commune, and Lo village, Xa Luong commune were also damaged.

Na Be - Hop Thanh road, Xa Luong commune, had a landslide of about 10m. Na Ca - Xop Kho road, Nga My commune, had a landslide, swept away 50m; Ban Phong bridge pier, Thach Giam commune, collapsed and has been repaired. 04 classrooms and the entire campus of Yen Tinh secondary school were flooded and filled with mud about 0.5m. Total damage in Tuong Duong district was about over 2 billion VND.

Mr. Lo Kham Kha - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tuong Duong said: This morning, September 16, the district has directed the communes to fix and clean up damaged fish cages. The district will have a plan to support households raising fish in cages that suffered heavy damage. At the same time, mobilize military forces, district police, people of Cap Chang village, Yen Tinh commune and teachers of Yen Tinh secondary school to clean up mud and soil to ensure timely stability for teaching and learning. Direct the communes to mobilize people to temporarily fix damaged traffic and irrigation systems./.
