Nghe An starts construction of $100 million smart electronic equipment manufacturing factory
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 21, at WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An, the groundbreaking ceremony for the factory project to manufacture electronic products, network equipment and multimedia audio products took place.

The factory of Goertek Vina Precision Industry Co., Ltd., belonging to Goertek Technology (HongKong) Co., Limited, was granted an Investment Certificate by the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board in October 2020. The total investment capital of the project is 2,300 billion VND, equivalent to 100 million USD.
The factory is built on an area of nearly 40 hectares, located in WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An, Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone.

The factory's design capacity is more than 381 million products/year, with products being electronics, network equipment and multimedia audio products. It is expected that by June 2021, the factory will complete the installation of machinery and equipment, officially come into operation, creating jobs for about 30,000 workers.
In parallel with the construction of the factory, Goertek Vina Precision Industry Co., Ltd. will build a worker housing area in Urban Area No. 4, Nghi Thuan Commune, Nghi Loc District, meeting the housing needs of about 20,000 experts and workers working at the factory.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with the brand and reputation as a partner of the world's leading technology manufacturers such as: Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Sam Sung, Sony ..., along with financial capacity and experience in the field of manufacturing technology products in the global supply chain, the project will be completed on schedule and operate with the best efficiency.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Goertek Vina Precision Industry Co., Ltd. donated 102 million VND to the people of Nghi Long and Nghi Thuan communes (Nghi Loc) for Tet For the Poor - Spring Tan Suu 2021; supported the study encouragement work of Nghi Loc district with 150 million VND; and donated 50 million VND to poor students of Vinh University.

Goertek Group is a high-tech corporation with many member units present in countries around the world, operating in the field of research, development and production of smart, precise devices.
In Vietnam, the group built a factory with an investment of 260 million USD in Que Vo Industrial Park (Bac Ninh province) in 2013. In Nghe An, the group is planning to increase the investment level of the project in the near future.
