Nghe An: Prosecution of murderer after great unity day party

On the afternoon of November 18, 2019, Long and Mr. Hoang Van Duc (born in 1985, a neighbor) attended a meal on the occasion of the great solidarity festival organized by the neighborhood.

After eating and drinking, Long and Mr. Duc, along with many others, went to Mr. Nguyen Van Hai's house in the same neighborhood to sing karaoke. There, a conflict arose between Long and Mr. Duc. Thinking that Long had drunk too much alcohol and had many unkind words and actions, Mr. Duc slapped Long in the face and chased him away.
At around 10:30 p.m. the same day, Long took a 42cm long knife to Nguyen Van Hai's house and called Duc out to talk. Long used the knife he was carrying to stab Duc three times, one of which pierced his abdomen.
After committing the crime, Long fled the scene. Although Duc was taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment, he died at 4:00 a.m. on November 19, 2019 due to severe injuries.

After receiving the report, Nghia Dan District Police organized forces to examine the scene and arrest the perpetrator.
At 3:00 a.m. on November 19, 2019, Nghia Dan District Police arrested Nguyen Van Long and seized a knife as the murder weapon. The case was then transferred to the provincial police investigation agency for investigation according to its authority.
