The two subjects Hiep and Diep demanded to 'protect' the owners of the rice harvesters like this. |
According to the initial statements of the subjects: On June 1, 2016, a multi-purpose harvester owner in Yen Son commune asked him to find rice fields that needed to be harvested and would be paid 30,000 VND per sao; at the same time, if there was a strange harvester, he would not be allowed to harvest in the area...
After accepting the offer, Hiep saw that the harvester of Mr. Hoang Van Hai (born in 1968) in Xuan Son commune was harvesting rice for the people in his commune, so he and Diep demanded protection money of 1.5 million VND. Ms. Lien, wife of Mr. Hoang Van Hai, did not agree, so Hiep immediately took a sharp knife and ran down to the field to attack Mr. Hai and did not let him continue harvesting rice.
Then Hiep continued to hold a knife close to Lien's neck. Because he was too scared, Hai then called to negotiate and gave the two subjects 1 million VND.
After realizing that their actions were illegal, the two subjects went to the Do Luong District Police Department to surrender. The police are currently continuing to investigate the case./.
