Nghe An prosecutes illegal tiger breeding case
(Baonghean.vn) - Defendant Nguyen Van Hien was prosecuted for illegally raising 14 tigers in his house and was discovered and seized by Nghe An authorities on August 4.
Nghe An Province authorities have just decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Van Hien (39 years old, residing in Nam Vuc hamlet, Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) for 4 months to investigate the act of violating regulations on the protection of endangered and rare animals.

The three tigers illegally kept in the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Dinh (50 years old, residing in Phu Xuan hamlet, Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) were investigated and arrested by Yen Thanh district police. Currently, Yen Thanh district police are temporarily detaining Ms. Dinh to investigate and clarify the extent of the violation.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper earlier, in the early morning of August 4, the Environmental Police Department of Nghe An Province Police coordinated with relevant units to catch red-handed a number of tiger captivity facilities in people's homes in Do Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh). Initially, the authorities seized17 tigersmature.
Accordingly, in the morning of the same day, the above mentioned tigers were transported to Muong Thanh Dien Lam Ecological Zone (Dien Chau) for care and investigation. However, during the transportation process, 8 tigers died and are currently frozen to serve the investigation according to the law.
