On the morning of March 7, the Department of Industry and Trade held a meeting to unify the organization of activities in response to the Earth Hour 2018 campaign. At the meeting, DRepresentatives of the units met and agreed on programs to respond to Earth Hour. Accordingly, Nghe An will respond to Earth Hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 24, 2018.
From March 20, 2018, the province will organize propaganda about the Earth Hour campaign, calling for response to Earth Hour;Organize activities such as rallies, parades, candle lighting...
At the meeting, delegates said that Vinh City should soon hang banners to increase propaganda effectiveness. In addition, attention should be paid to security, traffic, and fire issues during this activity.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huy Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade agreed on the policy of not forcing power cuts but focusing on propaganda. In addition to propaganda through banners and slogans, propaganda will be promoted on loudspeakers.
The Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with Nghe An Electricity Company to plan power outages at appropriate locations and areas so as not to affect production, traffic safety and social security. Synthesize and report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee on the results of activities and the amount of electricity saved after the campaign.
For large hotels and restaurants, there will be a direct written request to respond to this event.
