On February 5, the Steering Committee for Passenger Transport for the Lunar New Year 2021 led by Comrade Nguyen Duc An - Deputy DirectorDepartment of Transport, Head of the Steering Committee for Passenger Transport for the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2021, as the head of the delegation, inspected passenger transport and Covid-19 prevention and control at bus stations and bus stops in Vinh city.

ENSURE SERVICE FACILITIES

The delegation directly inspected Thach Thanh bus station and some pick-up and drop-off points of bus routes in Vinh city.

Next, the delegation inspected the Vinh City Northern Bus Station on transportation activities, passenger bus backup plans, traffic safety, ticket price posting, epidemic prevention, and passenger clearance during peak times.

At the time of inspection, the bus station was clean, ensuring security and order; information was posted at the station such as: ticket prices, list of routes, routes of operating buses. Disease prevention and control work was also focused on and implemented according to regulations.

According to the reporter, the number of passengers at the bus stations is still very low. Meanwhile, the area where vehicles pick up and drop off passengers is sparse, without the congestion like every year. Some vehicles have already departed but only have a few passengers on board.

Regarding the implementation of epidemic prevention and controlCovid-19, to ensure the safety of passengers entering and leaving the station... bus stations and bus companies regularly remind officers and staff on duty, remind people to wear masks and wash their hands with sanitizer to ensure safety.

In addition, the bus station requires passengers to continue to follow the principles and strictly implement the epidemic prevention and control measures posted on the notice. The bus companies and bus stations have prepared enough hand sanitizer and masks to distribute to passengers before boarding the bus.

In order to ensure passenger transport to serve people's travel needs during Tet, the Provincial People's Committee established a Steering Committee for passenger transport during the Lunar New Year and Tan Suu Spring Festival 2021.

FOCUS ON COVID-19 PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Talking with transport units and bus stations, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Nguyen Duc An - Head of the Steering Committee for Passenger Transport for Lunar New Year and Tan Suu Spring Festival 2021 emphasized: During the Lunar New Year, the number of passengers increases, people from the provinces return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. In addition to ensuring service vehicles and ensuring traffic safety, bus stations, bus companies, and transport businesses must pay special attention to the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Propose that the police force, traffic inspectors, and bus stations coordinate well to ensure traffic order and safety before and after Tet, and have plans to prevent traffic congestion in Vinh city.
