Nghe An: Export turnover continues to increase strongly
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An, the export turnover in the first 9 months of 2021 in the province is estimated to reach 1.1 billion USD, an increase of 40% over the same period last year.
Of which, goods export in 9 months reached 860 million USD, up 50.2%; total foreign currency revenue from tourism services and labor export reached 241 million USD, up 8.6% over the same period in 2020.
Although the epidemic is complicated and production is facing many difficulties, many products are still in demand.export turnovergrowth, of which the most obvious is the increase in exports of processed industrial products. Specifically: Phone components had a sudden growth of 160 million USD (while the same period in 2020 only reached 1.7 million USD); Textiles increased by 26.3%; Wood chips increased by 21%; Plastic additives increased by 50.4%; Processed fruits and perfumes increased by 14.5%; Textile fibers of all kinds increased by 39%; Superfine white limestone powder increased by 47.7%.

Some agricultural products also grew strongly, such as seafood products increased by 95.8% over the same period in 2020, cassava starch increased by 38%, and pepper increased by 14.4% over the same period in 2020.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the results were achieved thanks to the efforts of businesses in finding new export partners and seekingexport marketnew. In addition, free trade agreements are gradually being implemented more comprehensively and effectively. In particular, the agreements: CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVTA... will continue to create conditions for Vietnamese goods to penetrate partner markets with preferential tariffs, thereby promoting strong export growth in the coming time.
Export commodity prices are also on an upward trend, which is an important driving force for increasing export value.

However, besides the increase of some items, there are still some items with export turnover decreasing compared to the same period last year. Fresh fruit decreased by 88%, rice decreased by 43%...

In the first 9 months of 2021, Nghe An enterprises exported to about 115 countries and territories around the world, of which goods were mainly exported to major markets such as: China (accounting for 31.7%), South Korea (accounting for 14.2%), Hong Kong (accounting for 13.3%), Taiwan (accounting for 10%), the United States (accounting for 8%), India (accounting for 3%)...
In 2021, Nghe An aims to achieve total export turnover of 1.2 billion USD, of which:Export turnover of goods: 910 million USD. At the same time, remove "bottlenecks" in logistics infrastructure to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Plan for developing logistics services in the area.
